Group Meeting - 27/09/11

In todays group meeting we shared our initial ideas. We both had a one or two diffrent initial ideas, doing this allowed us to experiment with diffrent tracks more freely. We then posted our initial ideas on our seprate blogs. After sharing each proposal we started to discuss wich would be the one we could be creative with to acheive the highest possible grade.

We used three critereas to guide us into making the correct choice; image, concept and if it would be easy to relate with a target audience. We went through each idea and picked the track with the greatest potential to create a band image. We then asked ourselves which one could have a very good concept behind it. Our final decision was the track from Siren 'Sunrise'.

Group Meeting - 20/09/11

In the group meeting today Lily and I started to discuss the genre of music we wanted to research into. At first we decided that we both wanted to find an unsigned dance music produccer however we weren't very happy about the choices we had. We looked through MySpace.com and Overplay.com and was convinced that the music currently uploaded by unsigned artist were good enough, so we decided to go ahead with our next preferred genre; Rock/Indie the reason we wanted a mix of both was because we didn't want any heavy rock so we decided we would go online and find good rock/indie artists.

We also had to discuss about the type of music video we wanted to create. We were both interested in doing a mix between preformance and a narrative music video. Doing this would allow us to make the video more interesting than just a preformance and it would not be too dull by being just a narrative. Using a mix would also allow us to be more creative.
